The end of April

My year has been awkward. I have changed jobs, helped friends move, been checking out a different church to get involved with, been volunteering for a youth organization, and I have been helping friends move. I have not had much time for myself or doing the things I like and this last weekend was the first weekend I have had for myself in a month and I almost could not think of what to do.

As I drove home from work Friday all I could think about was what did I want to do and that is what I did this last weekend. Pursued those things that I get out of the habit of doing but I enjoy. I went for a walk, tried out a new coffee shop near Sloan’s lake, jogged along a undiscovered path in Bear Creek Lake Park, caught up on reading a few books and I met a couple friends for drinks to watch the playoffs. Quite, low key, and not what people expect from me but It has been a good weekend.
