Everyone is spiderman!!!!

Spiderman, spiderman, beat up superman & batman,
didn't have a kid, isn't burning down his dad's house
you won't find him afraid of a mouse,
oh look...here comes the Spiderman.

I read an article that talked about how every Spider man movie has made more money then Superman, Batman, and the sleek, sexy, star studded cast of the X-men triology. How can movies about a nerdy kid in a suit who swings around on webbing make more money then Superman, Batman or the X-men?

The simple answer is because everyone wants to see spiderman. Which leads to another question, why does everyone want to see Spiderman? He seems like kind of a goofy hero, he has a mask, crawls around and shoots webbing but there is more to his character then that. Peter Parker is the typical person. He isn't flashy, isn't famous, isn't the type of guy people flock too, he isn't popular or well liked. He can't end up with the girl he wants, he struggles making ends meet, he has pressures from work to make money, keep a schedule, please his boss and also had a hecktic schedule when he was in school. He is also a man who is given wisdom or a moral code to live by, with great power comes great responsibility his grandfather tells him. He struggles to follow the advice of his grandparents admist all his problems. He is the epitome of the average man who always has some sort of struggle no matter how good life gets or no matter how talented & gifted he maybe.

Aside from the special effects, the story line, the stars, and a decent movie that does the old web head some justice, Spiderman's character is someone everyone can relate to in some way. I think that is why everyone wants to see the movies.
