Another lack luster Hollywood Blockbuster

Transformers has gone the way of Wolverine & Terminater 2. Great special effects & action but poor writing & plot at times. Wolverine & Termianter 2 sunk to to deeper lows with little thought provoking material, storey lines lacking depth or more exploration for interesting character development.

On one hand the sequel is very similar to the original, having a forumal for intruducing the audiance to the transformers, crazy eratic story lines & characters, mildly over dramatic acting, and looking alot like the orignal move. The sequel has better special effects and show cases more transformers with much longer action sequences. The final 45 minutes of the movie seems like one long drawn out battle.

The movie seems confused at times. It seems to borrow from multiple geners of film, it is an action movie, with comedy, drama, but also a sci-fi movie, but also a movie with aliens, but also a war movie, but also full of romance & human bonds from family to friendship. This movie seems trashier than the first as the comedy resulted to crude & sexual jokes on multiple occassions, over sexualization of just about every femal character in the film, and extremely liberal use of curse words. I wouldn't feel comfortable taking my child to this movie and guess who the target audience happens to be? Apparently hasbro doesn't care about having it's name attached to a product that is mediocore and relies on hype, effects, and thin story lines to entertain. If that's the case I wonder if I should care about seeing any future Transformer films.
