Lakewood
I am getting sold on the idea of living in Lakewood. A friend of mine wants to rent out his in law’s place as he is stuck paying the rent & wants help covering it. He is willing to work out a sweet deal and the more I drive around Lakewood I want to take him up on it. While I’m not near any friends or family there is a lot of open space & trails for hiking or just enjoying the outdoors. It is very green in Lakewood which I like. My commute to work would be the same but faster as I could take sixth or alameda to down town. The downside is the drivers out here are all generally crappy and most people look like they came out of a old navy catalog but aside from that it isn’t bad out here.
Tonight I wondered down the street from Jeff & Michelle Sager’s to a park called The Belmar Park. As I walked around I realized just how beautiful it is living closer to the mountains. Aside from this park there is a trail two miles south of here & a nice trail by the Sager’s in law’s place. This side of town doesn’t feel as suburban as my neighborhood in Aurora. I do like all the nature trails & parks over here. I could see myself enjoying many walks & days out in the sun if I were to live on this side of town.
